S. Jane Eicholtz, age 90, of Three Rivers, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016 at New Friends Assisted Living in Kalamazoo. She was born in Akron, Indiana on Nov. 14, 1925 the daughter of Russell L. and Hazel D. (Tullis) Rader. Jane graduated from Three Rivers High School and later attended Western Michigan University. Following her marriage to Clyde Donald Eicholtz, they engaged in general farming. Jane worked briefly at Kalamazoo Laundry, and for many years was the secretary at Three Rivers Tool & Die. She served on the St. Joseph County Zoning Board, and was a Notary Public. She enjoyed canning, making jam, and card-playing.
Jane is survived by two sisters, Mary Mercury of Rochester, NY and Devona (Dana) Wells of Three Rivers; a brother, Alton Rader of New Castle, IN; many nieces and nephews; her in-laws, Irven (Nancy) Eicholtz of Vicksburg, Doris Fitch of Three Rivers, Sue Watson of Mendon, and Phyllis Eicholtz of Florida; and special friend, Bill King. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald in 2006; and by several siblings.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, Feb. 19, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Marty Culver, Pastor of the Center Park United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Moorepark Cemetery.
