St. Joseph County’s Parks and Recreation Department is asking the public for input into the development of a master plan for a newly acquired piece of property on the St. Joseph River.
Working in conjunction with the design firm Edgewater Resources of St. Joseph, the county has scheduled what is being promoted as a public-visioning session next week.
The property is northeast of the historic Langley Covered Bridge, and has been envisioned as both a public park and potential event venue.
The session starts at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at the St. Joseph County Parks and Recreation building, at 602 E. Main St., in Centreville.
More information is available from the Parks Department, at 467-5519.
In addition, the department is seeking nominations to name the park.
