Three Rivers showcases band program

The Three Rivers High School band program will perform its annual pre-festival concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school’s performing arts center.
The concert will feature the Three Rivers concert band and its symphony band. Each band will perform the three selections they are preparing for the MSBOA District 11 Band and Orchestra Festival.
The festival will be hosted by Three Rivers Feb. 26 and 27, when 20 bands and orchestras will perform their selections in concert, as well as perform a sight reading piece.
Thursday’s concert provides a sneak peek for the audience and a dress rehearsal for the performers, allowing the band to make final adjustments before playing in front of the judges.
