Two men gained entry to home by impersonating utility workers

Two men impersonating utility workers were able to gain access to a Sturgis Township residence last weekend.
Michigan State Police said the suspects gained entry to the home around 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Fawn River Road, near South Centerville Road, by telling the victim they were there to make sure water and power were on after a weekend wind storm.
The suspects distracted the homeowner by having her tap pipes while they went through the house. The victim said she only saw one man, described as a well-dressed Hispanic male.
The second man was not seen.
Investigators said the victim told them she saw a gray truck in the driveway.
