Two survivors of Kalamazoo-area shootings upgraded to fair

Officials say two people who survived a mass shooting in southwestern Michigan have been upgraded to fair condition.

Tiana Carruthers and 14-year-old Abigail Kopf remained in a Kalamazoo hospital on Tuesday. The 25-year-old Carruthers was shot outside an apartment complex on Feb. 20, the first in a series of victims that day.

Abigail was shot in a restaurant parking lot. Six people were killed at two locations in the Kalamazoo area.

Jason Dalton has been charged with murder and attempted murder. Sensing trouble, Carruthers is credited with telling children to flee when the gunman drove up.  (AP)
