Superintendents in St. Joseph County’s two largest school districts received good news Monday.
In Three Rivers, Jean Logan’s contract was extended an additional year. As a result, her contract will expire in June 2018. Logan, 51, is in her second year as head of the 2,600-student district and is paid $120,000 a year.
In addition, the Three Rivers board approved two-year contracts for principals Carrie Balk at the high school, Nikki Nash at the middle school, Kyle Corlett at Park Elementary, Ben McIntyre at Andrews Elementary and Jen Graber at Norton Elementary.
Meanwhile, Sturgis Public Schools Board of Education on Monday met in closed session and subsequently agreed to extend Tom Langdon’s contract. The contract runs through June of 2019.
Langdon, 52, is paid $130,000 annually and is in his fifth year as chief of the 3,300-student district.
