Investigators from the St. Joseph County Area Narcotics unit arrested a man Monday for drug-related offenses in Three Rivers.
Sheriff’s department officials said SCAN members had received information about a subject allegedly trafficking cocaine. Further investigation led to the discovery that the subject was on parole.
SCAN investigators made contact with the subject at the Three Rivers Michigan Department of Corrections office and located the vehicle he had traveled in.
A canine officer from Three Rivers Police Department assisted with a search of the vehicle and located more than four grams of cocaine. The parolee was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and a parole violation. A warrant will be sought for another individual involved.
