Opal Brown

Opal May (Chrisman) Brown, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. She was greeted by many family members including her husband Richard Brown, her parents Elmer & Ruth Chrisman, her sister Irene Tokarski, and her great grandsons Max, Jett, & Henry Fuelling.
Opal “Bobo” was born on January 22, 1926 in Three Rivers, Michigan. She graduated from TRHS in 1945 and devoted her life to caring for her family. She loved to cook and bake. Everyone enjoyed her famous chocolate chip cookie birthday cakes. She found the most happiness just being with her family.
Opal attended St John’s Lutheran Church with her sisters. Her recent baptism was something she had been looking forward to for the past few years.
Opal is survived by her daughter Sandy (Bill) Barnhardt; Granddaughters Jennifer (David) Fuelling and Jessica (Nathan) Brown; Great Grandsons Hayden Brown, Lucas Fuelling, & Jackson Brown. She is also survived by her sister Doris Evans, and brothers Charles Chrisman and James (Julia) Chrisman; Sister-in-law Irene Brown, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Hohner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 4 with visitation one hour prior to services at Hohner Funeral Home with the Rev. Karleen Kinker officiating.
Interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St John’s Lutheran Church, Three Rivers. Envelopes available at Hohner Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.hohnerfh.com.
