Burr Oak police chief returned to work

Burr Oak Police Chief Cynthia Miller returned to work Tuesday following a three-day suspension.
Miller was disciplined last week for what officials say was insubordination.
Village trustee Tabitha Hines, who chairs the village’s police committee, informed Miller she would be off for three days without pay. The suspension period began Thursday and concluded Monday.
Because it is considered a personnel issue, village officials were unable to comment further.
