James Warner, 77

James C. Warner, age 77, of Sturgis, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Riverview Manor in Three Rivers.
He was born March 6, 1939, in Three Rivers, a son of the late Carl and Thelma (Califf) Warner.
James attended school in Amberg, Wis., and was employed at various jobs in the pulpwood industry and other various factory jobs.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and his faithful German Shepherd, Fraulien, and ever-loving companion Snook, a cocker spaniel. He was a Green Bay Packers fan all his life and a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan.
Surviving are sisters Shirley (Paul) Hadden of Des Plaines, Ill., and Peggy DeVries of Sturgis; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, three great-great-nieces, aunts and uncles all in Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; lifelong companion, Sarah Rambadt, in 2010; a brother, Charles; a sister, Janice Kay Theissen; and two brothers-in-law, Jack Theissen and Ronald DeVries.
According to his wishes, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis.
Memorial donations may be directed to the funeral home to help with expenses.
