Police investigate hit-and-run incident

State police this week responded to a hit-and-run incident that involved a vehicle being taken for a test drive in Park Township.
Troopers were called around 5 p.m. Tuesday to a residence on Michigan Avenue. Earlier, a 1998 Chevy Blazer being test-driven by two men struck a deer on Michigan Avenue, near North Fisher Lake Road.
Investigators said the two men driving the vehicle left it along the side of the road and sought a ride to the residence of the Blazer’s owner.
They then left the scene before troopers arrived.
They were last seen driving a red Ford Explorer, with a flashing-yellow light on its top, east on Michigan Avenue toward Silver Street.
The man driving the Blazer appeared to be injured as a result of the incident.
