A former superintendent at a Michigan school district has been sentenced in the armed robbery of a St. Clair County bank.
According to court records, 51-year-old Thomas Goulette was sentenced to three-and-a-half to 20 years in prison on a charge of armed robbery Monday. He pleaded guilty last month to the January robbery of a Brockway Township bank.
The Times Herald of Port Huron reports Goulette was the Dryden Community Schools superintendent from 2005 to 2013.
Goulette said during his plea hearing that he went into the bank with a starter pistol and demanded money from tellers. (AP)
