Justine Ann Palenick, age 61, of Sturgis, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016, from complications of C.O.P.D. at the Sturgis Hospital.
She was born Aug. 31, 1954, in Three Rivers, a daughter to the late Al and Mary (Sedlacek) Palenick.
Justine graduated from Constantine High School and resided most of her life in the Constantine and Sturgis area.
She was employed by several local factories and she enjoyed spending time with her two grandsons.
She was a member of the LaGrange American Legion Auxiliary and the Sturgis V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Surviving are one daughter, Lindsay Metzger of Sturgis; two grandsons, Logan and Royce; three sisters, Julie Randall of Tavares, Fla., Joanie Caseman of Columbia, Tenn., and Jean Bowen of LaGrange, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Palenick.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends and relatives for a time of sharing from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Memorial donations may be directed to the family to help with expenses, envelopes are available at the funeral home.
