Man arrested on drug charges after traffic stop

A Constantine man was arrested over the weekend after drugs were found inside his vehicle.
Three Rivers police said the vehicle being operated by the 36-year-old man was stopped Saturday morning on West Michigan Avenue at Railroad Drive for an equipment violation.
According to a department media release, officers became suspicious during their interview with the driver. The department’s canine officer, Django, was brought to the scene and quickly discovered narcotics.
The man, whose name was not released pending arraignment, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.
