The Three Rivers golf team saved its best play for the last jamboree of the season. The Cats fired a fine team score of 177, good enough for 6th place, at Dowagiac’s home course, Hampshire CC. The overall scores were as follows:

Otsego 155

Plainwell 167

Edwardsburg 174*

Sturgis 174*

Paw Paw 177*

Three Rivers 177*

Dowagiac 177*

Allegan 187**

South Haven 191

* Fifth Player tie-breaker

** Both teams only had 4 players so no tie-break

Edwardsburg’s Carter Goodson was medalist with even par 36.

The Wildcats were lead by Daniel Grace 42 (T9), Jacob Turner 43 (a career best), Weston Geans 45, Parker Jackson 47 and Hunter Stewart 47.

Next action for the Cats will be Thursday the 19th, right back at Hampshire for the conference tournament.

“While we were not quite as competitive as I had hoped, we did gain experience for the future, as 10 different players competed in varsity matches. Including 3 freshmen (Parker Jackson, Hunter Stewart and Jensin Blyly) and 2 sophomores (Jacob Turner and Calvin Trammell)” says Coach Bob Bales
