Rick Butler, 61

Kenrick “Rick” Glen Butler, age 61, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born in Charlotte, MI. on September 7, 1954 the son of the late John Howard Sr. and Adela Sarah (Church) Butler.
Rick has been a long time resident of Three Rivers. On Oct. 16, 1976 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Frances (Chapman) Butler. Together for the last twenty-nine years they have owned and operated Matt & Mikes Eatery which was located in downtown Three Rivers until they moved to their current address on Michigan Avenue in 2010. Rick, Frances, and their family have garnered many friendships throughout the years at the restaurant.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, and two siblings, Gloria Butler and John Howard Butler Jr.;
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife of 39 years Frances (Chapman) Butler, of Three Rivers; two sons, Michael Gerald and Matthew John Butler, both of Kalamazoo; one niece, Kristine Butler-Austill, of New York, many friends, and extended family.
Rick’s family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating. Cremation will be conducted following services.
