Upcoming run raises money

Organizers behind next month’s seventh annual Lt. Edds Memorial Classic would like to remind prospective participants that the deadline for early registration and a guarantee to receive a T-shirt is coming up next week.
The event – a one-mile fun run, one-mile walk, 5K walk and 5K run with chip timing – takes place July 16 in White Pigeon.
The early registration deadline is July 1. Registration can be done online at:  whitepigeon5k.com.
Proceeds donated to the Lt. Jonathan W. Edds Memorial Fund are used to help charitable and educational programs and projects in the White Pigeon area and honor the memory of Lt. Edds, a White Pigeon native who was killed in August 2007 while in combat in the Middle East.
