Chamber reschedules Treasures event

The Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the rescheduled date of the “Discover the Treasures of St. Joseph County” event.
Chamber CEO Christy Trammell said it will begin at 2 p.m. Sept. 18.
Modeled after the CBS television program, “The Amazing Race,” this year’s Treasures of St. Joseph County will highlight four of the parks in the county, including three county-operated parks.
The competition will begin at Meyer Broadway Park, which will be the check-in point as well as the finish. Lunch will be eaten after the competition and provided at Meyer Broadway Park.
Trammell said the race aspect is only as competitive as desired. The object is to allow participants to experience the beautiful parks in the community, she added.
Tickets need to be purchased no later than one week prior to the event to allow for planning for food and equipment.
