Lila Mae Withers, age 89, of Three Rivers, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Three Rivers Health. She was born February 27, 1927 to Jesse and Effie (Newman) Rumsey. She married Herman Withers on August 30, 1945. She was employed at J.P. Falvey’s for fifteen years. Herman Withers passed away in October of 1977. Lila married F. Merle Godber on February 14, 1984. He passed away in 2001.
Lila is survived by her only son, Robert Withers; her former daughter-in-law, Cheryl Hasper Withers; two grandsons Jeffrey (Angela) and Scott (Julie); one granddaughter, Anslee and one grandson Wade; one brother, Warren (Ramona) Rumsey; one sister-in-law, Betty Rumsey; two nieces, Cathy Hetmansperger and Lori Rumsey; also two nephews, Steve and Joe Rumsey.
She was preceded in death by a brother Earl Rumsey.
Memorial services will be held at Bly Cemetery, Highway 216, Marcellus, MI. on Saturday, July 16, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Carr officiating.
