Last month’s Three Rivers Water Festival received high marks from its organizing committee, whose members assembled last week for a wrap-up meeting.
Committee member Barb Stutesman said numbers in most activities were higher than in previous years.
The opening-night parade featured more than 1,000 participants in 126 units, while the inaugural Car Cruise drew 36 vehicles. The annual, final-day car show saw 200 vehicles line the city block of North Main Street, as well as a portion of Portage Avenue.
Meanwhile, Stutesman said, Three Rivers Fire and Rescue served 509 pancake breakfasts at its annual Saturday morning event. In addition, approximately more than 200 people participated in the Triple Creek Color Dash, down slightly from the previous year.
The committee wishes to acknowledge the Water Festival’s volunteers who assisted in a variety of ways to make this year’s event a success, as well as its many sponsors, Stutesman said.
