Martin R. (Marty) Wesse, 62, of Constantine, died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was born July 3, 1954, in Three Rivers, a son of Harold G. and Bonnie J. (Schultz) Wesse.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He lived in the Constantine and White Pigeon area most of his life.
He was a truck driver, last employed by Tan Tara Trucking Company. He was a member of White Pigeon American Legion. He enjoyed bowling, Detroit Tigers and spending time with his family and friends at The Tomahawk.
On July 15, 1972, he married Shirley W. Hassinger in Constantine. She survives, along with his mother, Bonnie Juanita Wesse of White Pigeon; two sons, Jeremy (Amy) Wesse of White Pigeon and Harold (Courtney) Wesse of Constantine; four grandchildren; and a sister, Marsha (Dennis) Ward of White Pigeon.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Dennis W. Wesse; and a sister, Donna J. Hendricks.
Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at White Pigeon Township Cemetery. Services are by White Pigeon American Legion Swartz-Van Fleet post #138.
