St. Joseph County residents have an opportunity to recycle televisions and computer monitors at no cost.
The offer, however, is available only through September.
Pat Kulikowski, secretary of the St. Joseph County Solid Waste Committee, said Advanced Technology Recycling of Grand Rapids secured a contract that allows for recycling of the items free of charge.
She said the limited-time, drop-off location is at Westside Landfill, off M-60 west of Three Rivers.
The site is open and able to accept monitors and televisions between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
It is a self-service operation and nobody from Westside will be available to assist. A designated container is in place in which the items can be discarded.
Questions about the opportunity can be directed to 467-5617.
