Pedestrian crash in White Pigeon

A White Pigeon woman was seriously injured late Monday afternoon in a car/pedestrian crash on US-131 near the intersection of US-12. According to state police, 24-year-old Kalan Rider was walking northbound with the flow of traffic, on the shoulder, when she was struck. The driver of the car was identified as Adam Marble, age 37, of Plainwell. Rider was transported to Three Rivers Health by ambulance, and then was flown by helicopter to Bronson Methodist Hospital. The crash remains under investigation, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
