A boil-water order in the village of White Pigeon has been lifted.
Municipal officials said samples taken Tuesday afternoon came back negative for the presence of bacteria. As a result, the order was lifted at 4:15 p.m.
The latest order, the second one this month in White Pigeon, was put in effect Thursday afternoon.
On Oct. 10, municipal officials cancelled a five-day boil-water advisory after a series of tests reported negative for the presence of coliform bacteria.
The system was flushed and new samples taken eventually yielded the acceptable reading.
