A lifelong Three Rivers resident has been selected from a field of seven candidates to complete an unexpired term on the Three Rivers City Commission.
Pat Dane was the majority’s decision during Tuesday’s meeting to complete the remaining 13 months left on Jared Hoffmaster’s term. Hoffmaster resigned last month in advance of his family’s impending move to Fabius Township.
Dane, 68, is employed by the St. Joseph County Commission on Aging. She said she has a vested interest in the community, in part, because her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren live in Three Rivers.
The other candidates were Rob Vander Giessen-Reitsma, Andy Goldberger, Kristina Arevalo, Timothy Raakman, Doug Bingaman and John Kish.
