Lydia Martin, 91

Lydia Marie Martin, 91, White Pigeon, died on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at her home. She was born on August 20, 1925 in Columbia City, IN, a daughter of George and Ethel (Smith) Hawn. On February 21, 1948 Lydia married Cleo Martin in Columbia City, IN. He preceded her in death December 30, 2006. She worked at Door Products in Burr Oak for 20 years.

Surviving are her daughters Diana Miller of White Pigeon, Connie Thomas of White Pigeon, Jerry (Clayton) Lyczynski, White Pigeon, and Patty Salter of Mesick; sons Tim (Yvonne) Martin of Mendon and Randy (JoAnne) Martin of Centreville; grandchildren Annette Martin, Dale Miller, Michael Salter, Stacey Powell, Jason Salter, Craig Martin, Curt Martin, Mallory Martin, Keith Hammond, and Amy Nichols; many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and extended step grandchildren; step children Larry Martin and Marlene Martin; brother Carl; and sisters Lavone and Donna.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters Mary, Catherine, and Freda; brothers Arthur and Donald; and son-in-laws Richard Thomas and Richard Salter.

Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Saturday from 1-2 at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville.  Memorial services will follow at 2. Interment of Ashes will be in Peek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.eleyfuneralhomes.com.
