Margaret Ann Shears, 79, of Centreville, died on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Fairview Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre. She was born February 25, 1937 in Wheeler, MI, a daughter of KD and Ruth Ann (Vought) Young. She attended schools in Three Rivers and married Lewis Junior Shears on January 15, 1954 in Centreville. Margaret worked at Fairview Nursing Home, Dr. Dentons, Stant Manufacturing and Ronnigen Research & Development Company in Vicksburg. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished taking care of her grandchildren. Margaret enjoyed crochet, knitting and word puzzles.
Surviving are her husband Lewis Junior Shears, Centreville; daughters Margaret Ann Robison of Howe IN and Sheryle Higgins of Three Rivers; sons Keith Shears and James (Lynda) Shears both of Centreville; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother Tom (Lois) Young, Centreville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, brothers Darwin, Kermit and Claude Young, and sisters Lou Clark and Maude Marie Coss.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Thursday Oct. 13, from 3 – 4 pm at Centreville United Methodist Church where a Memorial service will be held at 4 pm.
