Rodney Andrew Howard, age 66, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Rod was born on Dec. 17th, 1949 in Adrian, MI., the son of the late Andy and Elizabeth (Cox) Howard.
Mr. Howard grew up in the Adrian, MI. area and served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and upon returning home served in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge. He worked for the U.S. Post office for over twelve years before retiring.
Rod loved to hunt and Michigan Wolverine and Minnesota Vikings football. He never missed an episode of the “Price is Right” and his true joy was spoiling all of his grandchildren.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, wife, Gail (Jensen) Howard, of Centreville, MI.; son, Andrew (Katie) Howard; daughter, Kim (Shaun) Connelly; both of Three Rivers; nine grandchildren, Kylee, Andrew Jr., Aidan, Katelynn, and Kenzie Howard, Britney, Sarah, Caleb, and Liam Connelly; one brother, Robert Howard; four sisters, Faye Harris, Betty VanWagoner, Mary Goodwin, and Joyce Cole.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26th, 2016 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Anderson of the Nazarene Church officiating.
Interment will be held in Prairie River Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes available at the funeral home. Online condolences can be left at www.hohnerfh.com.
