Three Rivers Health completes assessment

Three Rivers Health has completed its 2016 Community Health Needs Assessment, and posted results and its implementation plan on its website.
Through the CHNA process, the hospital has determined the top health needs of the community center on: obesity/physical inactivity; mental health/suicide; physician services; education/prevention; and diabetes.
The hospital has developed an implementation plan for addressing the needs, including services and programs it already offers, new services and programs the hospital is considering, other organizations the hospital will partner with, and metrics the hospital will use to track progress.
Chief executive officer Bill Russell said the results of the assessment show where Three Rivers Health needs to do a better job of providing the resources for the community to access those areas of care.
A CHNS is a federal requirement of all non-profit hospitals to prove the hospital is providing community benefit and meeting the needs of local residents. The CHNA process follows federal guidelines including various methods of gathering statistical data.
