A Fabius Township resident died this week following an accident involving a tree he was trimming.
WWMT reported Ron Phillips, a 49-year-old Corey Lake resident, died Monday while on the job in Schoolcraft Township.
Phillips, owner of Phillips Tree Service, reportedly was working in the 1600 block of Waters Edge Drive, where a limb broke from a tree and hit the lift bucket in which he was positioned.
Phillips was not wearing a safety harness and fell approximately 60 feet. He died at the scene, according to news accounts.
