The St. Joseph County Farm Bureau held its annual meeting recently at Sturges-Young Auditorium and several awards were presented.
The 2016 Outstanding Young Ag Leader award went to Nathan Mumby of Leonidas, while the Outstanding Young Farm Employee award went to Riley Brazo of Sturgis. Each also was recognized as being Young Farmer District 1 Discussion Meet Participants.
Drew Bordner of Three Rivers was honored as Young Farmer District 1 Discussion Meet Alternate.
Recipient of the Connie Maystead Memorial Scholarship was Mariah Schlabach of Sturgis.
The 2016 St. Joseph County Farm Bureau third-grade poster contest winner was Ellie McBride of Central Elementary School in White Pigeon.
The 2016 St. Joseph County Farm Bureau Ag Promoter of the Year award went to Beth Hubbard of Corey Lake Orchards in Three Rivers.
