Juanita Joanne Schmidtendorff, age 87, of Constantine, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis. Juanita was born in Peru, IN, on February 26, 1929, a daughter of Arthur and Mary (Hall) Black. She graduated from Bristol High School in 1947. On August 16, 1947, she married Harold Schmidtendorff in Dowagiac. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2004. Juanita worked at Wyricks General Store in Mottville and served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading, puzzles, and painting.
Juanita is survived by her 6 children Harold (Diane) Schmidtendorff, Jr. of Springfield, MO, Steven (Xiang Xiang Li) Schmidtendorff of White Pigeon, Lynn (Robert) Baylor of North Carolina, Rhonda (Berry) Bowser of Mesic, Tamara Mullett of Constantine, and Kimberly (Rick) Sevrey of Bristol, IN; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Schmidtendorff, Sr., sister June Price, and brother Rex Hall.
