Constantine’s village council has three new trustees, a new clerk and a new village president who all assembled at its Nov. 21 meeting.
Anthony Scott, Rita Ganus and Kenda Cartagena were elected earlier in the month as trustees, and Myra Mathers as clerk, by write-in vote.
Gary Mathers, meanwhile, ran unchallenged for the village president. No one ran for village treasurer. Village manager/police chief Mark Honeysett said the council had to appoint a treasurer and agreed to offer the post to its incumbent, Helena Baldwin. She chose to not run for re-election but accepted the board’s offer.
The first action by Gary Mathers was to present a list of committee assignments.
