St. Joseph County Prosecutor John McDonough said there will be no charges filed in a case last week in which a 4-year-old Sherman Township girl died as the result of a dog attack.
McDonough stated in a media release issued Wednesday that he had the opportunity to review all information regarding the death and concluded there is not sufficient evidence to authorize charges.
There is zero evidence to show that the dog had aggressive tendencies what so ever or that there was anything that the previous owner knew and did not disclose, McDonough stated.
The dog involved in the incident is scheduled to be euthanized at the St. Joseph County Animal Control Office.
