The Centreville Downtown Development Authority is sponsoring a few events Friday in honor of Veterans Day.
A veterans pancake breakfast will run 9 to 11 a.m. at the FOP building on M-86 east of town. Mike Wilson, retired National Guard sergeant major, will speak at 10 o’clock.
A military freedom walk salute will start at 11 a.m. off Main Street outside the fairgrounds. Organizers said a flag salute will take place at 11:11 a.m.
Veterans Day specials will be offered to veterans at Centreville businesses, including Lil’ Louie’s, Royal Café and The Local. Tedrow’s Florist will give away a free patriotic carnation and Yoder’s Country Market is offering a free coffee and donut.
