Members from two area fire departments made Christmas brighter for some Three Rivers and area families last week.
Personnel from Three Rivers and Fabius-Park departments Friday delivered gifts to families in the annual “Firefighters for Santa.”
Beginning at 3 p.m., firefighters, with the help of Santa, delivered the presents in one- hour blocks.
In addition, each of the 90 families received carbon-monoxide detectors, some which were installed by firefighters.
Making that donation possible were Three Rivers and Fabius-Park fire departments, ServPro of St. Joseph and Cass counties, Three Rivers Area Community Foundation and Triple Creek Convenience Store.
Also contributing for the 10th year of the event were Triple Creek Convenience, L.A. Café, Horizon Bank, Biggby Coffee, Kellogg Community Credit Union, Three Rivers Health, Three Rivers Community Schools, Meijer, Monsanto, Kadant Johnson, Armstrong International, Metal Technologies, Century 21, Santa’s Helper Fun Run, Harding’s, Hoffman Street Grocery and American Axle Local UAW.
