Officials with White Pigeon Community Schools have about six weeks to piece together what will appear before the district’s voters in a May renewal request.
The third of three community forums was staged Tuesday, providing a final opportunity for event participants to fine-tune their choices for what should be included in a five-year, 3-mill sinking-fund-renewal request.
Superintendent Jon Keyer said the ultimate list of what is included in the request will be determined by the district’s board of education at its Jan. 25 meeting.
Keyer said based on feedback provided during the public sessions, the recurring priorities included new interior doors, a new water-piping system and a ventilation system that will better control interior temperatures at the start and end of the school year.
Keyer said the May renewal, if approved, would generate more than $4.8 million over its five-year life.
The Jan. 25 meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the high school media center.
