Dale D. Anderson, 75, of White Pigeon, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Mich., following a short illness.
He was born April 10, 1941, in Bedford, Iowa, the son of Carl and Lois (Kimpton) Anderson.
He was a resident of White Pigeon for the past 28 years, coming from Grass Lake, Mich. He was also a resident of Port Huron and Iowa.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, attended the Grass Lake Assembly of God, and was a member of the White Pigeon American Legion. He enjoyed traveling with his wife in their motorhome, gardening, his fancy red Ford truck and Kabota tractor. He wa a retired operational manager of the Consumer Energy Gas plant in White Pigeon.
On Dec. 24, 1961 he married Linda L. Golding in Winterset, Iowa. She survives, with son sons, Michael (Carol) Anderson of Sturgis and Robert (Heather) Anderson of Jackson, Mich.; five grandchildren, Christina, Hailey, Josef, Mitch and Rachel; brother, Glen (Linda) Anderson of Winterset, Iowa; one niece; four nephews; two aunts; two uncles; and cousins by the dozens. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment of cremains will be at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Mich.
Memorial donations may be directed to the White Pigeon American Legion. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
