State police last week arrested a White Pigeon-area man on a felony warrant from the city of Three Rivers.
According to a department media release, troopers along with deputies from the sheriff’s department arrived to a residence on Blue School Road at 7:45 p.m. Friday to execute the warrant.
Troopers spotted the man outside his garage but he fled into the structure in an effort to hide from authorities. The man refused to cooperate and during a struggle to take him into custody, troopers noticed he threw an object from his possession.
Investigators later determined the object was a pipe used for inhaling methamphetamine.
The man was wanted on a warrant for unauthorized driving away in a motor vehicle, and was further charged with two counts of resisting and obstructing, and possession of meth, according to authorities.
