Terry N. Shelhamer, age 69, of Constantine, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in Bristol, IN. He was born in Three Rivers, on February 7, 1947, a son of Paul and Edrie (Nyberg) Shelhamer. Terry graduated from Constantine High School in 1965 and attended Michigan State University. On September 2, 1994, he married Marcia Day in Constantine. Terry was a member of the St. Joseph County Mounted Division and Western Michigan Appaloosa Club, both for 40+ years. He was a leader and volunteer for the St. Joseph County and Cass County 4-H Clubs. Terry cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving Terry include his wife Marcia of Constantine, daughter Frieda (Philip) Schoon of Wasilla, AK, daughter Erin (Christopher) Mosher of Marcellus, son Sean (Joy) Sullivan of Nikiski, AK, grandchildren Santanna, Christopher II, Fisher, Montanna, Bryce, Archer, Macie, Meghan, Morgan, Aiden, and Charlee; great-granddaughter Kennedy; brother Ted Shelhamer of Constantine, sister Paula Shelhamer of Kalamazoo, and mother-in-law Marie Day of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Hunter Mosher, and father-in-law Harvey Day.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Sunday from 4-9 at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am at the New Hope Assembly of God (56652 Buckhorn Road, Three Rivers) with Pastor Steve Miller officiating.
