Drug arrests in Sturgis

Seven people were arrested this week on drug-related charges following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Sturgis.
Sheriff’s department officials said members of the St. Joseph County Area Narcotics unit arrived at a residence in the 500 block of North Clay Street around 6:30 p.m. Monday. Upon executing a search warrant, SCAN members found a large amount of crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Five men and two women inside the residence were arrested.
SCAN members were assisted by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, and Sturgis Police Department and its K9 unit.
