Two killed in Cass County crash

Two people, including a 4-year-old boy, died in a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning in Cass County’s Silver Creek Township.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called shortly after 3 a.m. to School Street, near Tice Avenue, where a car driven by 21-year-old Jordan White of Dowagiac left the roadway and struck several trees. Investigators said it appears White was driving west on School Street and lost control of the vehicle. It crossed the centerline and went off the road, according to investigators.
Passenger Allison Hurry, 20, and her 4-year-old son, Wyatt Lister, both of Dowagiac, were also in the vehicle. White and Lister were pronounced dead at the scene.
Hurry was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital. Her condition was not indicated in a department media release.
