Bill McClain, 82

William S. McClain, age 82, of Constantine, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born November 27, 1934 in White Pigeon, a son of William and Edna Mae (Simpson) McClain Bill attended Constantine Schools with the class of 1954. He served in the United States Army, stationed in Alaska. On October 7, 1957 Bill married Fern Arnold in Angola. Bill worked as a Foreman at Armstrong International, Three Rivers for 30 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of Constantine American Legion, Governor Barry Historical Society and enjoyed golf, snow and water skiing and traveling. Bill was a proud husband, father and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family.

Surviving are wife Fern McClain, Constantine, son Jody (Donna) McClain, Centreville daughter Valerie (Monte Snow) McClain, Centreville, grandchildren Adam McClain, Ashley King, Zachary and Tyler Sheteron, great grandchildren Eva and Chloe McClain, Wyatt and Allison King, brother Charles (Betty) McClain, Constantine, sister-in-law Mary McClain, Three Rivers, several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, sisters Mary Jane McClain and Betty Mae Bontrager, brothers Kenneth, Dean and Clayton McClain.

Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Thursday 12-1 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious services will be held 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor David Peterson officiating. Burial will be in White Pigeon Cemetery.
