Blake Lauseng, 30

LausengBlake Allen Lauseng, age 30, of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, Feb. 27, 2017, at the Sturgis Hospital emergency room.
He was born Feb. 8, 1987, in Sturgis, a son of John and Tina (Russell) Lauseng.
Blake resided in Sturgis and Florida most of his life.
On Oct. 7, 2016, he married Holly Whitcomb in Centreville.
Most of Blake’s working life was in the jewelry business. He worked alongside his father at J&L Jewelers in Sturgis and West Palm Coin and Jewelry in West Palm, Fla.
Blake was a member of Riverside Church in Three Rivers and he loved time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Holly; his mother, Tina Lauseng of Sturgis; a stepson, Sevon Gowen of Sturgis; a stepdaughter, Jada Gowen of Sturgis; a sister, Lindsey Lauseng; a brother, Codie Lauseng; grandparents Ken and Nancy Anderson of Vicksburg; and uncles and aunts Keith and Judy Lauseng of Sturgis, Scott Lauseng of Sturgis and Rod and Heidi Plunkett of Houghton.
He was preceded in death by his father.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Blake Allen Lauseng will be held at a later date, to be announced, at Riverside Church in Three Rivers.
The Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
