A Portage native has been selected as the next superintendent of Centreville Public Schools.
Members of the district’s board of education chose Stephanie Lemmer to replace Rob Kuhlman after he concludes a seven-year tenure as superintendent in June.
The decision was made based on two finalist interviews Saturday at Centreville High School.
Lemmer has served as director of Head Start at Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency since 2013.
Lemmer’s contract is slated to be approved during Monday’s regularly scheduled board of education meeting. The three-year pact will see her salary begin at $107,000 annually. The 800-student district has offered a $2,000 merit increase tied to her evaluation and an additional $2,000 relocation allowance.
Her start date will be determined at next week’s meeting.
