Hydrant flushing begins in Three Rivers

The Three Rivers Department of Public Services this week started its biannual hydrant flushing.
Department officials said they expect flushing to continue through April 28, as flushing will occur Sundays thru Thursdays between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Due to many variables, the department is not able to determine the exact date it will be in each district. The order of flushing, however, will begin with First District followed by Fourth, then Second and ending in the Third District.
It is not unusual for some customers to experience rusty water during the flushing period.
