A Decatur man was injured after he fell asleep at the wheel and was involved in a one-vehicle accident in Cass County’s Penn Township.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said 25-year-old Douglas McIntyre was driving north on Decatur Road at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday when he fell asleep and his car went off the roadway. The vehicle struck a tree.
McIntyre was treated for his injuries at Bronson Hospital.
Investigators said McIntyre was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor in the incident.
