Two sent to hospital following crash

A 15-year-old female with a Level 1 Michigan graduated license was involved in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Calvin Township. The incident, which saw the vehicle collide with a bucket truck operated by 28-year-old Christopher Budden of Kalamazoo, resulted in the female and her passenger, Christopher Burnham, 22, of Cassopolis, to go to the hospital. All parties involved in the incident used safety belts and airbags did deploy. Authorities said Budden stopped at the intersection of Brownsville Street and Calvin Center Road but came into the path of the vehicle.
