State Rep. Aaron Miller this week sponsored a House resolution to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Michigan State Police.
Miller said the exemplary men and women of the MSP have served the people of Michigan with dedication, proficiency and integrity.
Miller, who chairs the House Budget Subcommittee on Michigan State Police, said it is an honor to acknowledge the milestone.
The Michigan State Troops Permanent Force was organized April 19, 1917.
The MSP is a full-service police agency with nearly 3,000 enlisted and civilian members, and is tasked with security at the Capitol, freeway patrol in metro areas and searching for crime solutions.
