Larry Peckinpaugh, 71

Larry Peckinpaugh, 71 years old, of Avon Park, FL went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017. He passed away unexpectedly at Florida Hospital, Tampa, FL. He was born July 27, 1945 in Marion, IN to Roy Peckinpaugh, Jr., & Loretta Mae ( Traylor ) Peckinpaugh. He graduated from Marion High School and later in life earned an Associate Degree from Davenport Community College.He worked at St. Joseph County Road Commission as a Maintenance Manager and for Tri-State Compressed Air Systems as a Sales Representative for Air Compressors.
Larry enjoyed his retirement years at Hickory Lake Estates, Frostproof, FL fishing with his buddies, playing cards, playing guitar and singing at the Jamboree, yard work, and participating in the Polk Co. Senior Games. In earlier years he served on the board at church and visited nursing homes.
Surviving family members are: Wife, Patricia Peckinpaugh. Children: Lisa Kay ( Jeff ) Coniglio; Greg ( Billie Jo Landtroop ) Peckinpaugh; Mark ( Lisa ) Peckinpaugh; Cardinal Pritchett; Kelly ( Tony ) Eberts. Grandchildren: Amber and Aaron Coniglio; Dustin ( Andrea ) Peckinpaugh and Makenzie Landtroop; Brooke and Jake Peckinpaugh; Fiona Bruno. Great Grandchildren: Jackson and Meeka Jo Peckinpaugh.Preceded in death by: Father, Roy Peckinpaugh, Jr.; Mother, Loretta Mae Schott; and Loving Wife of 46years, Kathryn Peckinpaugh.
The family will receive friends from 2pm – 4pm and from 6pm – 8pm on Monday, April 17, 2017, and on Tuesday from 1pm – 2pm at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the funeral home followed by Interment in Mendon Cemetery.
